From emergency callouts to full residential and commercial fit-outs, we cover every electrical need in Bahrs Scrub.
Start with the furniture and appliance layout
Identify where the desk, television, beds and everyday appliances will sit before choosing new outlet positions. A socket behind storage may be hard to use, while a permanent extension lead is not a substitute for an appropriate fixed outlet. Describe the equipment rather than just requesting a number of sockets. USB charging modules and standard outlets have different uses, and larger appliances may need a separate supply. Circuit loading, cable access and safety-switch protection are checked before fixed wiring is changed.
Add fans with the right support
A light position is not automatically a suitable ceiling fan mounting point. Support, wiring and clearance must be assessed, even if the property was recently built. Share the proposed fan model and identify wall or remote controls. For a covered patio, equipment must suit the exposure at the installation location. We can discuss whether a fitting can remain, whether new support is needed and how the fan will be controlled. These checks are specific to your home rather than a standard package applied to every Bahrs Scrub address.
Give each lighting area a purpose
Kitchen tasks, a reading spot and an outdoor entrance need different light placement and control. Note where existing lighting is inadequate and whether you want separate switches or dimming. For replacements, compatibility between LED equipment and controls matters. A new fitting also needs an assessment of the existing wiring and mounting. If another trade is altering ceilings or walls, tell us before work is arranged so access can be considered. No particular brightness, saving or property-value increase is promised without evaluating the chosen equipment.
Plan garage equipment together
A freezer, tools and vehicle charging can create different demands from a garage used only for storage. Include any proposed EV charger and its model in your enquiry. We assess the supply and circuit arrangement before recommending a charging circuit or load management. Having spare room in the switchboard is not enough to confirm capacity. Cable routes and mounting locations also matter. Do not use adapters or improvised leads to connect equipment that requires a dedicated electrical installation.
Keep safety requirements in the plan
Renovation work should account for the existing smoke alarm arrangement and the applicable Queensland requirements. Tell us whether the property is owner-occupied, rented or being prepared for sale. Alarm positioning, interconnection and power arrangements need to be checked for that situation. Electrical additions and alterations must be assessed and tested against the applicable Australian Standards. Even a small fitting change is an opportunity to identify relevant circuit problems, not a reason to assume the rest of the installation is compliant without checking it.
